Master’s in Nursing, Post-Master’s and BSN to DNP offer second chances to apply

The Ohio State University College of Nursing is opening a second application window on March 1, 2021 for select specializations in two of its top-ranked graduate degree programs.

The college’s Master of Science in Nursing (traditional, post-master’s and graduate entry options) and BSN to DNP programs are offering prospective students the opportunity to apply for these select specializations by Thursday, April 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

Memphis, TN – Early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease has been shown to reduce cost and improve patient outcomes, but current diagnostic approaches can be invasive and costly. A recent study, published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, has found a novel way to identify a high potential for developing Alzheimer’s disease before symptoms occur. Ray Romano, PhD, RN, completed the research as part of his PhD in the Nursing Science Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Graduate Health Sciences.

College ranks #13 overall, #7 among public institutions

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University College of Nursing now places among the top 15 colleges of nursing in the country for research funding support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). According to the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research, the Ohio State College of Nursing earned more than $5.7 million in primary NIH research funding, ranking the college #13 overall and #7 among public institutions. The college rose from #16 overall in 2019.

The Ohio State University’s Office of the Chief Wellness Officer, College of Nursing and Office of Student Life today launched a new campaign designed to encourage Ohioans to take simple steps to reduce their stress and improve their mood every time they put on a mask.

The Mask On/Mood Up movement asks people to perform three brief, evidence-based tactics that research shows can bring calm to someone who is experiencing stress:
