Transforming the Future of Health - Jane E. Heminger Hall

Building dreams. Discovering solutions. Delivering impact.

Since 1968, Newton Hall has served as the home of our College of Nursing. It is a space where we have driven immeasurable change in healthcare by pioneering new research, innovating new healthcare solutions and, most importantly, educating generations of healthcare leaders.

We are proud of what we have collectively accomplished and want to continue this great work. The new Jane E. Heminger Hall will allow us to surround new generations of inspired healthcare providers with everything they need to excel.

Imagine the future of health transformed. Together we can build dreams, discover solutions, and deliver a new world of impact on healthcare. Give to our building and renovation campaign and transform the future of health!

Jane E. Heminger Hall will allow us to continue our vision to be the world’s leader in thinking and doing the impossible to transform health and improve lives. Over the last several years, our college has experienced tremendous growth in the size of our population, the breadth and depth of our initiatives and the stature of our academic programs, research and evidence-based practice. We currently have approximately 2,400 students and offer two undergraduate degrees, three master’s degrees and two doctoral programs, as well as 10 certificates. U.S. News & World Report ranks several of our degree programs and program specializations among the top ten in the nation, and our online RN to BSN program ranks #4 as part of Ohio State’s online bachelor’s programs. We set a college record in FY2020 with approximately $13 million in external grant funding and rank among the top 20 colleges of nursing nationally in NIH funding support. We created the first-ever EBP certificate of added qualification and launched a second Innovation Studio inside Pomerene Hall. When I joined the college in 2011, we had 119 faculty and staff; we have grown to 341 today. We continue to champion wellness and innovation for all and encourage our students to LIVE WELL.

With this great growth comes the need for new space to help us to continue dreaming, discovering and delivering great outcomes for our community and our world. Jane E. Heminger Hall will not only allow us to continue to be a national and global leader in healthcare, but also to transform the future of health. Please join us!
