About us
The Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving was created in conjunction with Ohio’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Statewide Resource Program. This collaborative effort led by the Ohio Department of Aging aims to deliver information, education and resources to enhance the knowledge base and resource infrastructure throughout all of Ohio to support dementia family and friend caregivers.
Our center is designed to provide access to dementia care resources, education, and caregiver support services for family caregivers, primary care clinicians, first responders and employers throughout Ohio. We maintain both an in-person and virtual presence, focused on developing and strengthening the knowledge, skills and support of family and professional caregivers. We have a strong cadre of research and clinical practice faculty – with deep experience in gerontology, dementia assessment and caregiving – who are committed to discovering new avenues to help older adults living with dementia and to advocate for the caregivers who support them.
