Direct from High School BSN Pathway | Admissions

Senior-level high school students can apply directly to the BSN program provided they meet the following criteria:

  1. Meet the Traditional BSN program admission requirements and prerequisite requirements completed by the posted deadline in May of their senior year of high school.
  2. Complete The Ohio State University’s application process for freshman admission by the regular deadline.
  3. Be admitted to The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus
  4. Applicants must be 18 years of age by September 1 of the autumn semester of their first year in the BSN program.

High school seniors must complete the Traditional BSN Pathway application process by its corresponding deadlines. This is in addition to the University’s application process.

Please note that decisions for admission to the Traditional BSN program are not released until mid-June prior to the start of the autumn semester. For high school seniors applying to the BSN program, this would be in the middle of the summer between your senior year of high school and your first year in college. If admitted to the program, you will begin college as a sophomore with potentially only three years left to graduate. You would also skip over the pre-nursing program.
