GivePulse is a civic engagement platform that connects and documents community engagement for our students, faculty and staff through promotion, registration, initiation, discussion and evaluation. GivePulse supports our community engagement efforts at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, allowing us to show our PRIDE for our communities.

On our GivePulse homepage, you will find volunteer opportunities from various community partners throughout the greater Columbus community, making it easy for you to connect with local needs. - Register
Through the platform, you can officially sign up for specific volunteer opportunities and shifts. GivePulse allows you to easily manage your registrations, receive confirmation emails and access detailed information about each event. - Initiate
Communication is vital with community events. GivePulse makes it easy to initiate communication by creating channels for contacting the volunteer coordinator and receiving updates from them. The platform sends multiple event reminders and ensures you have all the necessary training and documentation prior to an event. - Discuss
After volunteering, GivePulse prompts participants to share feedback on their experiences, report what they learned and quantify their impact if necessary. This setup allows the volunteers to reflect on their own experiences while helping the community partner improve their future events. - Evaluate
As you use the platform, GivePulse will track all volunteer hours associated with your account and award various badges and honors. This quantifies your community efforts, telling the story of your contributions and highlighting the collective impact of the College of Nursing.
