A book written by Associate Vice President for Health Promotion, University Chief Wellness Officer and College of Nursing Dean Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/PMHNP, FAANP FNAP, FAAN, has been recognized as a Book of the Year for 2015 by the American Journal of Nursing (AJN).

An innovative research-based program to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors and improved health outcomes in adolescents entitled the Creating Opportunities for Personal Empowerment (COPE) Healthy Lifestyles Thinking, Emotions, Exercise and Nutrition (TEEN) Program has been selected for inclusion in a prestigious online database housed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
