In the College of Nursing, Monday could be renamed Research Day. Collaboratively established by four senior faculty members and coordinated through the Center for Research and Scholarship, a noon to 1 p.m. Monday Research Forum is now a regularly scheduled event in the college.
Two faculty members from The Ohio State University College of Nursing have earned one of the highest honors in their field.
The American Journal of Nursing (AJN) announced that Bernadette Melnyk's edited book Intervention Research: Designing, Conducting, Analyzing, and Funding received first place in its AJN 2012 Book of the Year award for nursing research. Several College of Nursing faculty co-authored, including Usha Menon, Donna McCarthy, Kim Arcoleo and Laura Szalacha.
A record number of College of Nursing faculty members from The Ohio State University have been selected for induction into the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) on Oct. 13, 2012. Becoming a fellow in the Academy is a highly competitive process and recognizes individuals who have achieved notable national impact in the field.
