Ohio State's online programs rank among nation's best

The Ohio State University College of Nursing master’s program jumped 10 spots, landing in the top 25 in rankings released today by U.S. News and World Report.

The college moved to 22nd in the rankings, putting it in the top five percent of nursing programs in the country. Rankings were based on quality assessment by deans and graduate studies deans at nursing schools, student selectivity and achievement, faculty resources and research activity. Previous rankings were based solely on peer assessment.

“Our new ranking provides evidence of the exemplary education that we provide in our college,” said Dean Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/PMHNP, FAANP, FNAP, FAAN. “Our world-class innovative faculty equip our students with the highest level of skills to transform lives and the future of healthcare.”

Earlier this year, U.S. News ranked the College of Nursing in the top 10 for master’s and undergraduate online education.
