Carole Anderson honored with 2013 Distinguished Service Award

Carole Anderson, PhD, RN, FAAN, professor emeritus and former dean of The Ohio State University College of Nursing, received the 2013 Distinguished Service Award at the university's spring commencement.

The Distinguished Service Award was established by the Board of Trustees in 1952 to recognize individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the university.  Awards are not made on the basis of long, faithful or loyal service alone, but for service that is truly distinguished. Recipients of this award have provided a broad spectrum of services to the university in both official and unofficial capacities.

In addition to Anderson, the Board of Trustees honored the following deserving individuals with the 2013 Distinguished Service Award: Rudine Sims Bishop, William Blair, Ruann F. Ernst, George Skestos, Justine Skestos and Daniel Wampler.
