COLUMBUS, OH — The National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute (NIH/NCI) has awarded an additional two-year R03 grant to accompany a five-year K08 career development grant to Principal Investigator Timiya S. Nolan, PhD, APRN-CNP, ANP-BC, assistant professor in the College of Nursing’s Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children and Youth and her team. An innovative research-based program to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors and improved health outcomes in adolescents entitled the Creating Opportunities for Personal Empowerment (COPE) Healthy Lifestyles Thinking, Emotions, Exercise and Nutrition (TEEN) Program has been selected for inclusion in a prestigious online database housed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
