Jodi Ulloa
Dr. Jodi Ulloa teaches courses in the graduate level neonatal nurse practitioner program and serves as a DNP advisor. She maintains clinical practice as an advanced practice nurse in a Level IV NICU. Dr. Ulloa’s academic and clinical work addresses care of critically ill infants, ensuring both academic rigor and practical impact in the NICU setting. Her work helps provide holistic care to critically ill infants, striving to improve health outcomes for this vulnerable population while supporting families in a challenging environment.
The Wichita, Kansas native holds a DNP in Nursing from The Ohio State University, MSN from Capital University and BSN from Washburn University.

Hyeryeong Lee, a first-year PhD student from South Korea, previously worked in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), caring for critically ill children.
The children and nurses in the PICU inspired her. “One particularly memorable moment was when a child who had been hospitalized in the PICU for a long time stopped by the PICU to say hello to us in good health after being discharged. The moment truly supported the impact of our work and brought me joy,” Lee said.
