Start grad school and be a travel nurse.

Graduating from Ohio State's neonatal nurse practitioner program and going on to start my career here in Columbus afterwards.

I would like to become a Certified Emergency Nurse and Charge RN, and also direct Hollywood movies.

Brian Salomons
This summer, I will be starting as an RN at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center Ross Heart Hospital on the Cardiac Surgery and Transplant Intensive Care Unit. I plan to further my license by becoming a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). Then, I plan to go back to graduate school to study for my Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia. Finally, I want to be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at one of the best hospitals in America.

Taylor Schwein
My goals for the next five years are to successfully complete the BSN-DNP program at Ohio State with the Psychiatric NP specialty. I'd like to double specialize as a Pediatric NP and ultimately get a job at Nationwide Children's Hospital Behavioral Health Pavilion while continuing my research at Ohio State.

Anne Wills
In five years, I hope to be an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) serving cancer patients with the highest level of care and compassion and be on my way to receiving my Master of Science in Nursing to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

If there were no barriers or fear of failure, I would go back to school after two years of practicing nursing. Becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is my dream, and I hope to achieve it someday.

Vanessa Antonios
Five years from now, I want to be working at the Brain and Spine Hospital loving what I do as a nurse. I would have hopefully applied to the nurse practitioner program at Ohio State so I can pursue my dream of becoming a psychiatric NP. Aside from my career goals, I would love to be a homeowner by the year 2026. I want my amazing family to be close by and thriving with me in life. My family is very important to me, and I wish I could give them the world for supporting me throughout my time in nursing school.

My plan would be to get base-knowledge in the emergency department for at least two years. After that I would love to travel nurse to visit new places all over the country and maybe all over the world. After traveling for a few years, I would like to go back to school to get my master's in nursing or doctorate in nursing so that I would eventually be able to teach at a college.

I want to pursue a career in the pediatric speciality and ensure that all families receive the care they need despite language or socio-economic barriers.

I hope to be a charge nurse and leader in the Ross Heart Hospital OR, and I will expand upon and delve into my non-work-related hobbies as well.

I hope to successfully pass the NCLEX and grow into my role as a nurse. I also look forward to obtaining my certification and beginning my journey toward my degree as an advanced practice nurse.

After graduation, I will be pursuing a career as a prison nurse within the Wexner Medical Center where I hope to acquire a better understanding of various med-surg areas. Within the next five years, I hope to gain critical nursing experience that will help me to succeed when I return to school to pursue a higher education in nursing. Ultimately though, I would like to make my family, friends and guardian angels proud of who I’ve worked so hard to become.

I hope to stay in the Columbus area and work for a few years as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Then I hope to go to grad school to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse Midwife.

Get my CCRN and continue to specialize my training in critical care.

Nabila Buwe
No barriers, no fear of failure, NCLEX passed, my first goal within five years would be to become an obstetrics nurse. Within those five years, I hope to contribute to tackling the health disparities faced by women of color, especially maternal mortality rates. I hope to start a family with my husband, travel the world and further my education. I want to leave my mark with each step I take moving forward in the next five years.

Claire Caldart
My goals for the next five years include working at Nationwide Children's Hospital in the NICU. I want to learn as much as I can at the bedside for at least two years and then go back to school to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. After becoming an NP I want to work at a hospital that has a labor and delivery unit and specialize in high-risk deliveries and care for the neonate after being born.

Kayla Cape
Make a difference in as many patients lives as possible and become a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner.

Nina Carifa
My goals would include graduating, passing my NCLEX, finding a job that I am really passionate about and investing time and effort into that position. I plan on learning and growing as much as possible from that first position before moving on. I am currently pursuing a marketing degree as well and finishing that within a year or so is definitely one of my goals. I will hopefully be going back to school within the next five years for either a master's in nursing, healthcare administration or an MBA.

My goals for the next five years is to get married, start a family and buy my own house. I want to become a pediatric or OB nurse. I want to become the best nurse I can be and continue to improve upon my nursing skills and knowledge. I want to advance my degree, obtain professional certifications and provide nursing services to underprivileged communities. I want to work as an RN at one of the Ohio State hospitals. I also want to travel, see new places and gain new experiences.

I just took a job in a neuro critical setting and plan to be there gaining experience for the next couple of years before eventually trying to move into trauma/emergency medicine. In my personal life, I would like to to do some traveling and spend time with my friends and family.

In the next five years, one of my goals would be to obtain my DNP in women’s health. I desire to see a generation of women partnered with their families in coming to learn and cherish the beauty of the natural rhythms of women’s bodies, and to feel empowered to truly understand themselves and their health through the lens of the dignity they carry. It’s a dream of mine to see not only physical healing and care for women in healthcare, but also emotional and mental healing and care for women that comes with this empowerment and understanding of the natural rhythms of their bodies.

Having my full family at my graduation (a total of 7), becoming an experienced and established ICU nurse at the James Cancer Hospital, being promoted to the charge nurse role and eventually being considered for a Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager position on a unit, enjoy every minute I have in Columbus, get to know the incredible districts, make new friends through my job at the James and grow overall as a person.

I plan to go back to school to study forensic nursing and eventually serve with Doctors Without Borders.

I want to provide holistic care to all of my patients and their families, to be a strong patient advocate, to help all pediatric patients see themselves as more than their disease state and to help them have as much fun as possible during their hospital stay.

Partnering with the local YMCA weekly food drive to provide food to those with limited transportation. Partnering with the local library to provide books or reading time.
