Dr. Dianne Morrison-Beedy joined The Ohio State University in 2018 as the Chief Talent and Global Strategy Officer and Centennial Professor of Nursing. In this role she is committed to developing the next generation of nurse leaders and creating global citizens. She has successfully established student education, faculty research endeavors, and collaborative global partnerships across multiple continents. She has international distinguished visiting professorial appointments in England, Spain, Philippines, Portugal, Scotland, and Thailand. As an internationally-recognized nurse scientist, she developed a sexual risk reduction intervention for adolescent girls, The Health Improvement Project for Teens: HIPTeens, which is recognized by the CDC and US Dept. of Health and Human Services as an exemplary evidence-based intervention for both HIV/STI and teen pregnancy prevention. Dr. Morrison-Beedy has over 300 published manuscripts, book chapters and abstracts including an award-winning book on intervention research, and she has had over $12 million in research funding. In recognition of her contributions, she has received numerous awards for her work including: election into the International Nursing Research Hall of Fame, the Audrey Hepburn Award for contributions to children globally, Adolescent Research Legacy Award (MNRS). She is an elected fellow in the AAN, the AANP, and NAP. She has served as faculty for Sigma Theta Tau International Chiron Nursing Leadership Program and Johnson & Johnson Maternal and Child Health Leadership Institute. Internationally recognized as a scholar, administrator, and educator, she has received four Fulbright awards – an administrator award (France), Specialist (Norway & Czech Republic) providing leadership training and curriculum development, and a research scholar award (Scotland). Her commitment to international work also resulted in her being one of the first US Certified Global Nursing (ICN)

Four-year project to enhance access to parenting programs for families

The National Institutes of Health/Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NIH/NICHD) awarded a four-year, $2.35 million grant through the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program to Klein Buendel, Inc. and a research team from The Ohio State University College of Nursing to identify effective methods for delivering parent training programs .
