Traditional Master's Admissions Timeline

This timeline is specific to applicants for the 2025 application cycle and is meant to provide an overview of what to expect from the admissions process once you have submitted your application. Dates may be approximate and are subject to change. If you have questions about the application process, please email us.

Deadline:

  • Round 1: October 15
  • Round 2: March 1

The application and all materials must be submitted. You can track the status of your application through your Applicant Center. The application status will show as “pending” until a decision is posted. Ohio State graduate transfer applicants can track their application status by emailing nursing@osu.edu.

Decision

 

Decision:

  • Round 1: Late January
  • Round 2: Late April

Most applicants will have a decision posted to their Applicant Center. All applicants, including Ohio State graduate transfer applicants, will be notified of their admission decision via email. Admitted students will receive a virtual admissions packet to guide next steps.

Accept Icon

 

Accept:

  • Round 1: Four weeks post decision
  • Round 2: Two weeks post decision

All admitted students will have either two or four weeks after the decision notification to accept their offer online, depending on when they are admitted.

Students admitted during Round 1 will be invited to attend a special event in February to learn more about the college and help them in the decision to accept their offer.

Students who do not respond to their offer of admission by the deadline will have their offer canceled.

Requirements

 

Requirements: August 1

Admitted students must complete the following:

  • A conferred BSN degree or Master of Science in Nursing
  • A valid, unrestricted RN license
    • Students participating in an on-campus specialty must provide proof of Ohio RN licensure
    • Students participating in a distance learning specialty must provide proof of RN licensure in the state where they anticipate clinicals will be performed

Classes Begin

 

Classes begin: August 26
