The National Institute of Health (NIH)/National Cancer Institute (NCI) has awarded a five-year $2,766,520 R01 grant to fund the study titled, “Cognitive Training for Cancer-related Cognitive Impairment: A Multi-Center Randomized Controlled Trial.” The grant was awarded to Diane Von Ah, PhD, RN, FAAN, Distinguished Professor of Cancer Research and Director of Cancer Research in the Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management and Complex Care at The Ohio State College of Nursing.

The National Institute of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has awarded a $945,000 three-year R01 grant to fund the study titled, “A Family-Dyad-Focused Diabetes Self-Management Intervention for African American Adults with Type 2 Diabetes.” The grant was awarded to Jie Hu, PhD, RN, FAAN, Associate Professor in the Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management and Complex Care at The Ohio State College of Nursing. Three-year project will utilize two evidence-based programs to prevent nurse suicide 

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) has awarded a three-year, $1.5 million grant to a partnership of The Ohio State University, the University of California San Diego and the American Nurses Association to determine the best intervention strategy for preventing nurse suicide.
