HIPAA Instructions
1. Log in to BuckeyeLearn
If you have no previous Ohio State affiliation and are experiencing login issues, try again when you are eligible to enroll in classes. For support with login issues, contact 8help@osu.edu or 614-688-HELP (4357).
2. Launch HIPAA training
Once logged in, click the “My Transcript” button and locate the HIPAA training and click “Launch”. If HIPAA training is not listed and if you are affiliated with the Wexner Medical Center or employed by Ohio State (including student employees), use the search function near the top right corner of BuckeyeLearn. You can use the search term “HIPAA”. The title of the training starts with “HIPAA and Institutional Data Compliance”. For additional support contact Beny Walujo at walujo.1@osu.edu.
3. Complete training
No further action is required once you have completed the HIPAA training. Your compliance status will be updated within 24 hours after completing the training.
You do not need to submit. Once completed, it is automatically submitted to the Office of Student Affairs and Success in the College of Nursing.
FAQ
If you completed HIPAA last year before July and you don't see one in your transcript, contact walujo.1@osu.edu
If you completed HIPAA last year in July or after, a new version of the HIPAA training is released in July and will be assigned to your transcript at that time.
