I work with students as an academic advisor for some of our pre-nursing students, as well as students in our BSN and HWIH programs. I am always happy to discuss professional and academic options and enjoy being an additional support for students during their time here at Ohio State! Put yourself out there! It can seem intimidating to try to make friends in a new environment but the University has a lot of great events at the start of fall semester to help you do so. Everyone is in the same boat. Try different things. Join a club, sit next to someone new in the dining hall or library, or volunteer for a cause you’re passionate about! Don’t just skim. When you receive a lot of information at once, it can be easy to briefly look over the information rather than take time to understand it. Most of the questions you’ll have as an incoming pre-nursing student will be in this packet. Similar to the syllabus you receive for a class, this information is meant to guide you and help you feel informed of important information, events, and deadlines.
