College of Nursing Badges

The College of Nursing requires all graduate level students to wear the College of Nursing badge for identification purposes in clinical or assessment settings. The College will cover the cost of the initial College of Nursing badge. In order for the badge to be printed, you must have a photo on file with the BuckID Office. Please refer to the following instructions in order to receive a badge.

Please wait until April 15 to request a College of Nursing badge.

Instructions for On Campus Students

New graduate students must walk-in to the BuckID office to have a photo taken to have their College of Nursing badge made.

Instructions for Online Students
  1. Visit myphoto.osu.edu to upload a photo to begin the process of printing your College of Nursing badge. You must upload a photograph even though you may have been issued a BuckID previously.
    • You will be required to submit the following:
      • a passport-style photo (well lit, neutral background, etc.)
      • a picture of your government-issued ID – typically a driver license, and
      • signature – you will sign electronically
  2. Update or confirm your home/current address on Buckeyelink.

You will receive your College of Nursing badge upon completing the steps outlined above. The badge will be sent to your current/home address listed in Buckeyelink.

In addition to the College of Nursing badge, graduate students who are/will be completing clinical experiences in any area of the Wexner Medical Center system also will be required by the Medical Center to obtain a Medical Center badge which allows students access to secured areas of the hospital and are generated by the Medical Center Security ID Processing Office. Information about Medical Center badges will be sent at a later date directly to students who are required to have one.
