Admissions Requirements

You must meet the following criteria to qualify for admission to the Clinical Trials Sciences certificate:  

  • A currently enrolled undergraduate student at The Ohio State University 
  • Minimum of a 2.0 cumulative Ohio State GPA 
  • Enrolled in a health science-related major. A list of suggested majors is available below.

You must apply for and be admitted to the certificate before you complete the fourth course in the curriculum to earn the certificate. 

 

How to Apply

To apply for the Clinical Trials Sciences certificate, you must complete the following by the application deadline: 

Apply online

You will complete an application online. This application will ask you to confirm you meet the admission requirements listed above and ask you to select a start term to begin the Clinical Trials Sciences coursework.

During application review, the College of Nursing will verify your status as an Ohio State student and your GPA. You are not required to submit further documentation in order to verify this information.  

Failure to complete all required steps of this application process by 11:59 pm ET on the day of the posted deadline will result in your application not being considered for admission, with no exceptions. 

 

Admission Timeline & Deferrals

Applications must be received by the posted application deadline to be considered for admission to the targeted semester. After the application deadline, applications will be reviewed and decision announcements will be emailed to applicants prior to the targeted semester.

You are not able to defer admittance. If you are unable to begin your studies in the term to which you applied, you will be required to reapply in the future.
