New Vice Dean Usha Menon to College of Nursing

Usha Menon, PhD, RN, FAAN, has joined The Ohio State University College of Nursing as vice dean and professor. She most recently held an appointment at the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University, where she was the Pamela Kidd Distinguished Researcher Professor, co-director of the T32: Training in Health Disparities Science program and former director of the Southwest Consortium for Health Promotion and Behavior Change.

Dean to serve on National Behavioral Health Committee

The National Quality Forum (NQF) announced that Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/PMHNP, FNAP, FAAN, dean of the College of Nursing, associate vice president for health promotion, and chief wellness officer, has been officially appointed to its Behavioral Health Steering Committee.

College launches Nurse Athlete program

The College of Nursing has launched its inaugural Nurse Athlete program, a two-day workshop that assists individuals in achieving high levels of wellness, energy and performance. Forty faculty and staff members from the college, along with nurse leaders from the Wexner Medical Center and The James Cancer Center are participating this week. The program is offered in partnership with Johnson & Johnson's Human Performance Institute.
