Now in my last year as dean, I am so proud of the many landmark accomplishments our College of Nursing and its alumni have achieved, and excited for the future! We are truly reimagining nursing and healthcare every day.

Among innovations we have to celebrate: the Reimagining Nursing grant from the American Nurses Foundation is allowing us to bring virtual reality to the classroom. A first-of-its-kind national designation for healthcare organizations recognizes excellence in evidence-based practice. We also continue to innovate the future through our research. You can read about projects supported by new grants (nearly $14 million in fiscal year 2022!).

In this issue we celebrate a few innovative alumni, including Da’na Langford, who opened the Village of Healing clinic to decrease healthcare disparities and Sam Warren, who developed a new healthcare device with the help of the Innovation Studio. You can also meet Philip Re, who has come up with a unique way to bring smiles and spread wellness.

We are so proud that Jane E. Heminger Hall is now open! You can read about the building’s construction, the opening gala and people who gave from the heart to make it happen.

There is so much more in this issue, including our latest National Summit on Promoting Well-being and Resilience in Healthcare Professionals, creative collaborations between our PhD and DNP faculty, and our students’ adventures in Norway.

Please take the same excellent care of yourself that you give to others. Keep dreaming, discovering and delivering, and go Buckeyes!

Fondly,
