First-ever BSN rankings by U.S. News & World Report released
U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural rankings of the nation’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree programs places The Ohio State University College of Nursing among the best in the country.
Ohio State’s sought-after BSN program tied for 10th nationally and tied for 6th among public colleges and universities. These first-ever rankings were based on peer reputation among deans and senior faculty members of nursing schools and departments across the nation, who rated the academic quality of programs from 694 institutions on a five-point scale.
“The reputation that our academic programs have built reflects the passion, dedication, compassion and skills of our world-renowned students, faculty, staff and alumni,” said Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, APRN-CNP, FAANP, FNAP, FAAN, vice president for health promotion, university chief wellness officer and dean of the College of Nursing. “We are honored that are peers recognize our top-notch programs as among the best in the country at all three levels (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral), graduating hundreds of evidence-based clinicians every year who are prepared to dream, discover and deliver a healthier world.”

Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report ranked four other degree-bearing programs and ten specializations among the very best in the country:
