Homecoming 2020

The College of Nursing and Nursing Alumni Society along with a host of faculty and staff celebrated the first-ever virtual Homecoming weekend on September 24-25, 2020. More than 200 alumni participated in a myriad of programming including virtual tours of the College of Nursing Technology Learning Complex and the Medical Heritage Center’s Health Sciences Library; a continuing education program on advance care planning, “Family Caregiving and Pain in Alzheimer’s Disease,” presented by Karen O. Moss, PhD, RN, CNL; and Dean Bernadette Melnyk's “State of the College Address & Executive Leadership Team Q&A.” The Class of 1970 enjoyed time together, sharing memories and one-on-one time with Dean Melnyk.

In addition to virtual programming, individuals in classes celebrating their reunion (1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015) gave back to honor the anniversary of their College of Nursing education. More than 140 gifts were made to meet ever-changing opportunities and challenges through supporting the building addition, innovative programming, student financial support, career services and more.
