The KySS Online Mental Health Fellowship prepares health providers to screen, assess and manage common mental health problems in primary care settings, improving the capacity to meet the needs of children/adolescents with mental health and/or behavioral concerns.
This program is designed to increase your knowledge and skills in mental health screening, assessment and early intervention. KySS is ideal for those working with children and adolescents, which includes pediatric nurses, pediatric nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, psychiatric mental health nurses and nurse practitioners, social workers, physicians, physician assistants, occupational therapists, educators, psychologists, counselors and those who see children/teens in primary care and community settings.
KySS is a recommended online course to meet the educational requirement for the Pediatric Nurse Certification Board - Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist Certification). If you are a PNP, FNP, PMHNP or PMHCNS who is preparing for PMHS certification, there is a 10% discount code available for enrolling in KySS Online Mental Health Fellowship: Child and Adolescent Module. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a completion document that includes 40.39 nursing continuing professional development hours and 5.65 psychopharmacology hours. Contact hours are awarded after completion and passing of all assignments, successful passing of post-test with greater than an 80%, and completion of a course evaluation.
