Associated Track Faculty Opening

The College of Nursing seeks Associated Faculty to assist with supervision of students in clinical, classroom and/or laboratory setting. Faculty assignments may include: supervising student patient care delivery; assessing and evaluating skill development; teaching and evaluating nursing techniques in the classroom and laboratory setting; holding seminars; maintaining records; providing reports; preparing and delivering didactic lectures; evaluating student learning; and updating teaching materials as necessary.

Title, FTE, supervisor, appointment length and job duties may vary.

Required: Doctoral degree or current enrollment in doctoral program; Ohio RN license required for applicants who are nurses; Ohio APRN license required for those who are advanced practice registered nurses; two years of recent experience in related discipline required.

Director of Accelerated Nursing Programs

The Director of Accelerated Nursing Programs within the College of Nursing is appointed by the dean and has delegated administrative responsibility for the overall oversight and implementation of the college’s graduate entry prelicensure and accelerated BSN academic programs in collaboration with the assistant and associate deans. This is a 12-month tenure or clinical track position with administrative effort of 25%. Productivity in scholarship and educational grants is an expectation of this position. The Director of Accelerated Nursing Programs reports to the associate dean for baccalaureate programs.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree, an Ohio RN license and have two years of experience in a related discipline. Experience in higher education is required, with leadership experience preferred.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Faculty

The Ohio University College of Nursing invites applicants for a part-time or full-time faculty appointment for candidates with specialization as a pediatric primary care advanced practice nurse. We are seeking faculty committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, practice and service. This is a 12-month tenure track, clinical track or associated faculty position. Appointment and rank will be based on qualifications and experience of the candidate. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Graduate Clinical Programs, faculty will be responsible for teaching the didactic courses as well as the clinical supervision in the pediatric primary care advanced practice specialty track in the Master’s and DNP Program. A doctorate degree in nursing is required, along with national certification as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner, two years of practice as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority and a current Ohio advanced practice nursing license (or license-eligible).
