The university plans to nearly double undergraduate enrollment within the College of Nursing amid a nationwide nursing shortage.
“We need to answer that call, answer the calling to care and help people in the healthcare community,” said Dr. Wendy Bowles, Associate Dean for Baccalaureate Programs at Ohio State’s College of Nursing.
Signature undergraduate program places #4 overall for third straight year
The Ohio State University is investing $14 million dollars to expand enrollment at its College of Nursing.
The announcement was made Wednesday by President Ted Carter during his Ohio State Founders Speech.
The new LPN to BSN program at the College of Nursing was designed for LPNs to obtain their BSN. Three current students, James Williams, Toni Hall and Colleen M. Barrett, shared with us about their experiences in the program.
Application for first cohort now open to start in Summer 2024
The Ohio State University College of Nursing has opened the application for its new LIVE WELL Licensed Practical Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (LPN to BSN) Bridge program. The program is supported by a four-year, $4 million grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
