The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) has named Carolyn Gunther, PhD, RDN, LD, who serves as senior associate dean for community engagement and associate professor at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, as part of its inaugural class of “Excellence in Nutrition” Fellows.

Decorated cancer researcher and educator assumes appointment today

The Ohio State University College of Nursing announced today that Diane Von Ah, PhD, RN, FAAN has earned the college’s prestigious Mildred E. Newton Endowed Professorship.

The professorship, named for the College of Nursing’s first dean/director, was established in 1966 and provides “support for the work of a distinguished teacher and scholar in nursing, nursing education and healthcare in the college.”

The American Academy of Nursing has announced today that it will induct 253 distinguished nurse leaders into the 2023 Class of Fellows. The inductees will be recognized for their substantial, sustained and outstanding impact on health and healthcare at the Academy’s annual Health Policy Conference, taking place on October 5 – 7, 2023 in Washington, D.C.
