Julia Salinas
Dr. Julia Salinas firmly believes in active learning interactions that support student success and prepare them to practice in an ever-evolving clinical setting. She teaches evidence-based practice in the college’s undergraduate programs and instructs students in traditional BSN, accelerated BSN and graduate-entry programs in laboratory and clinical settings. Dr. Salinas focuses on the implementation of evidence-based practices to impact student outcomes in academia and patient outcomes in clinical settings.
Dr. Salinas earned her associate degree in nursing (AND) from Northwest State Community College in northwest Ohio, then earned her BSN, MHI (Master of Healthcare Innovation) and DNP degrees at The Ohio State University. Her doctoral project focused on the implementation of video sitter technology in the acute care oncology population.

The findings suggest that interventions designed to boost positive family experiences and shield children from negative experiences may not be hitting the mark on a national scale, the study’s authors say.
