Doctor of Nursing Education Admissions Timeline
This timeline provides an overview of what to expect from the admissions process once you have submitted your application. Dates may be approximate and are subject to change. Email onlineenrollment@osu.edu if you have questions regarding the application process.

Deadline: March 1
The application and all materials must be submitted. You can track the status of your application through your Applicant Center. The application status will show as “pending” until a decision is posted. Ohio State graduate transfer applicants can track their application status by emailing onlineenrollment@osu.edu.

Decision: Late-April
Most applicants will have a decision posted to their Applicant Center. All applicants will be notified of their application decision via email. Admitted students will receive a virtual admissions packet to guide next steps.

Accept: Four weeks post decision
All admitted students will have four weeks after the decision notification to accept their offer online. Students who do not respond to their admission by the deadline will have their offer cancelled.

Requirements: August 1
Admitted students must complete the following:
- A conferred master’s degree in nursing
- A valid, unrestricted RN license or current APRN certification

Classes begin
