Center for Healthcare Innovation and Leadership

We exist to shape and inspire leaders in healthcare through transformative education, cutting-edge programs, coaching and groundbreaking research.

The Center for Healthcare Innovation and Leadership was created as a conduit to bring together leaders in innovation, entrepreneurship, education, practice and research to collaborate on pathways to improve the health and well-being of our global population. We see innovation not as a buzzword, but as a strategic mindset and approach to thinking that fuels the needed, systemic change that will benefit all people.

The center hosts a virtual reality (VR) lab in collaboration with the College of Engineering to use extended reality, artificial intelligence and machine learning to revolutionize nursing education. The lab features several different VR-driven simulation activities to develop both practical nursing skills and “soft skills” such as empathy, stress management and effective team-based communication.
