Translational Biosciences Laboratory
A dynamic hub for cutting-edge biomedical research
The Translational Biosciences Laboratory (TBL) includes two state-of-the-art Biosafety Level II (BSL-2) laboratories certified by Ohio State Environmental Health and Safety. Lead by the director of biomedical research, the TBL is staffed by experienced, full-time biomedical research assistants who provide hands-on consultation and technical support to faculty and students.
From refining research aims to optimizing assay techniques, the TBL supports innovation and scientific rigor across the research continuum.
Equipped with advanced instrumentation and technologies, the TBL supports a wide range of experimental approaches, including:
- Molecular and protein biology
- Tissue culture and cell stimulation
- Immunostaining and imaging
- Microbiology and pathogen studies
Through translational research that connects bench science and clinical practice, the TBL advances understanding of complex disease and supports discoveries that improve care and health outcomes.
