Welcome Week: Kaitlyn Borror builds lifelong connections

For Kaitlyn Borror of Lewis Center, Ohio, coming to Ohio State was a natural choice.

As part of our Welcome Week series, we’re getting to know the students who make up the Buckeye nursing community.

The university’s connection to her home state, the hospital systems and the College of Nursing’s reputation all played a role in her decision.

“I wanted to go to Ohio State because it’s always been such a big thing, being from Ohio,” she said.

Borror was also drawn to the College of Nursing because of its strong reputation and the success of its graduates. But her favorite part of Ohio State has been the people she has met along the way.

“I would say being able to make my best friends for life,” she said when asked of her favorite experience at Ohio State. “We are always studying together, working out together and hanging out together. You just make very close bonds here.”

For students considering nursing, Borror's advice is to stay committed to what matters to them.

“Never give up and stay true to your passions and your intentions,” she said.
