Post-Master's DNP Admissions Timeline
This timeline is specific to applicants for the 2025 application cycle and is meant to provide an overview of what to expect from the admissions process once you have submitted your application. Dates may be approximate and are subject to change. If you have questions about the application process, please email us.
Deadline: March 1
The application and all materials must be submitted. You can track the status of your application through your Applicant Center. The application status will show as “pending” until a decision is posted. Ohio State graduate transfer applicants can track their application status by emailing: nursing@osu.edu.
Decision: Beginning of May
Most applicants will have a decision posted to their Applicant Center. All applicants, including Ohio State graduate transfer applicants, will be notified of their admission decision via email. Admitted students will receive a virtual admissions packet to guide next steps.
Accept: Four weeks post decision
All admitted students will have four weeks after the decision notification to accept their offer online. Students who do not respond their admission by the deadline will have their offer cancelled.
Requirements: August 1
Admitted students must complete the following:
- A conferred master’s degree in nursing or a non-nursing master’s degree and a BSN
- A valid, unrestricted RN license in the state where they anticipate clinicals will be performed
- Clinical Expert students must also provide proof of an active, unencumbered advanced practice national certification
Orientation: Mid-August
Orientation will be held virtually.
Classes begin: August 26
