Innovation Studio

The Innovation Studio exists to foster interprofessional collaboration in creating health care solutions.

The Connie Hahn Sharpe and Gary Sharpe Innovation Center offers mentors, resources and state-of-the-art tools – including laser cutters, 3D printers and scanning equipment, mold making and casting assets – to inspire and empower students, faculty and staff across the university. We seek to democratize innovation and remove roadblocks to progress so that people can join forces and answer a calling to care together.

Answer your calling to innovate

Interprofessional teams and individuals can bring ideas to the Innovation Studio any time, and they can participate in the center’s pitch days, where they are invited to present their ideas and compete for funding to fuel future development. Read the Pitch Day rules from our autumn 2025 event.

Become an ambassador for the Innovation Studio

Plan two events over the course of a year at the Innovation Studio and we’ll fund your event (up to $500). You must be a current Ohio State student, faculty or staff (including Wexner Medical Center) to apply.

The Connie Hahn Sharpe and Gary Sharpe Innovation Center was made possible by a gift from an inspiring Ohio State College of Nursing alumna, Connie Hahn Sharpe (’69), and her husband Gary, who together built Health Care Logistics, Inc., a company that specializes in health care innovations.
