FERPA Instructions

Submission Instructions: Automatically submitted to College of Nursing Office of Student Affairs and Success upon completion.

All College of Nursing DNE students are required annually to complete FERPA certification.

1. Login to Buckeyelearn. If you have not been previously affiliated with Ohio State and are experiencing login issues, please try again when you are eligible to enroll for classes.
   For support with login issues, please contact 8help@osu.edu or call 614-688-HELP (4357).
2. Once logged in, click the “My Transcript” button and locate the FERPA training and click “Launch”.
   If FERPA training is not listed:
   • If you are affiliated with the Wexner Medical Center or employed by Ohio State (including student employees), please use the search function near the top right corner of BuckeyeLearn. You can use the search term “FERPA”, the title of the training starts with “The Ohio State University’s Family Education Rights and Privacy Act Training”.
   • For additional support please contact Beny Walujo (walujo.1@osu.edu).
3. No further action is required once you have completed the FERPA training. Your compliance status will be updated within 24 hours after completing the training.

To re-register and complete the training annually click the arrow on the gray button and choose ‘Register’.

You may receive a prompt that says ‘You Have Already Completed This Training’; click ‘Request’.
