Biography
Dr. Christine C. Kimpel is a nurse scientist whose research focuses on improving advance care planning for older adults with limited income, with particular emphasis on trauma informed approaches and age friendly community environments. Her work examines how social, environmental, and life course factors influence engagement in shared decision making among underserved populations. She uses implementation science and community engaged approaches, exploring how care systems, housing settings, and community-based interventions can improve health outcomes for adults with low socioeconomic status.
