Master Class: Introduction to Implementation Science

Overview

Dissemination and implementation (D&I) science is the study of strategies that promote the adoption, implementation, scale-up and sustainment of evidence-based interventions into routine practice. This workshop aims to deepen investigators’ understanding of D&I research questions, concepts designs and methodological considerations so they can move toward incorporating D&I into their own research portfolios. By the end of this introductory program, participants will be more familiar with the language and concepts of implementation science, how to build these concepts and methods into a scientific proposal and how to evaluate implementation outcomes to improve healthcare quality.
