Counseling Services
As a student, your well-being is essential to your academic success, as maintaining physical, mental and emotional health supports focus, resilience and overall learning.
The College of Nursing is committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of our students, and we are proud to have been among the first colleges at Ohio State to proactively offer psychotherapy services to students.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and their therapist. Most often grounded in dialogue, it provides a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone who is objective, neutral and non-judgmental (American Psychological Association, 2019).
Students have access to confidential mental health support through the university at no charge. The College of Nursing has partnered with Student Life’s Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) to bring this resource to you tailored to the needs of nursing students. Services are available to both undergraduate and graduate students.
