CBL and IHIS Training Instructions

College of nursing students must complete clinical trainings at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Computer Based Learning (CBL) modules and IHIS trainings are required for students completing clinicals at the Wexner Medical Center. These modules provide valuable information and knowledge as you begin your rotations.

To access and complete CBL/IHIS trainings, log into BuckeyeLearn using your Ohio State credentials (name.# and password). CBL/IHIS trainings are available to search once your med center affiliation is established. If you’re newly admitted to the nursing program, wait for directions from your instructors in regards to completing CBL/IHIS trainings.

CBL

Some of the modules listed below have different versions depending upon the role that a person has within the medical center. You should always select the clinical version.

Complete these trainings with the exact matching titles. We are tracking and retrieving your completion daily from BuckeyeLearn and synchronize the completion dates into Beacon.

IHIS

You can complete this requirement by completing a single curriculum:  NEW IHIS NURSE: Nursing Student and Instructor.
