KySS Mental Health Fellowship: Child and Adolescent (Online)
This fellowship is designed to equip you with the specialized knowledge to screen, assess, and manage common mental health problems directly within primary care settings. This crucial program rapidly increases your capacity to meet the growing mental health needs of children and teens, turning your practice into an immediate resource for the community.
KySS is ideal for professionals working with youth in clinical and community settings, including pediatric and family practitioners, nurses (PNP, FNP, PMHNP, PMHCNS), social workers, physicians, and physician assistants. You will receive personalized 1:1 support from a dedicated course mentor and learn from the same world-renowned faculty who instruct our degree programs, ensuring you gain the skills necessary to lead clinical innovation.

This online, self-paced program is designed to significantly increase your knowledge and skills in mental health screening, assessment and early intervention. Taught by world-renowned faculty and supported by 1:1 mentorship, you will learn evidence-based management for mental health disorders.
- Mood disorders and suicide
- Anxiety disorders ADHD, behavior disorder and somatic disorder
- Adverse childhood experiences or trauma and stressor related disorders
- Substance abuse, eating and sleeping issues
- Cultural, legal, ethical and reimbursement considerations
- Psychopharmacology and cognitive behavioral skills-building
Upon meeting all requirements, including passing assignments, successfully scoring over 80% on the post-test, and completing an evaluation, participants receive a completion document that includes:
- 40.39 nursing continuing professional development hours
- 5.65 psychopharmacology hours
PNCB Certification: KySS is a recommended online course to meet the educational requirements for the Pediatric Nurse Certification Board (PNCB) – Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist Certification (PMHS). PMHS candidates (PNP, FNP, PMHNP, PMHCNS) should visit the PNCB website for a 10% discount code.
