Meet Dan Thorward, Clinical Nurse Instructor at Ohio State

For Dan Thorward, RN, helping prepare the next generation of nurses is a meaningful extension of his work as a nurse. 

 

Dan is a clinical nurse instructor at The Ohio State University College of Nursing and a registered nurse The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Through a unique partnership between the two, experienced nurses like Dan bring their clinical expertise directly into the education of Bachelor of Science in Nursing students, while continuing to care for patients. 

In this video, Dan shares what drew him to clinical instruction, how staying connected to patient care strengthens the student experience and why helping prepare future nurses is so rewarding.
