Biography
Dr. Teri Chenot focuses both her teaching and her research on healthcare worker well-being and on the quality and safety of care to improve health outcomes for patients. She teaches leadership and quality/safety in the college’s DNP and DNE programs, combining instruction and experiential learning to address healthcare system challenges with both academic rigor and an eye toward systems improvement. She plans to explore quality/safety centers in the future while promoting learning health systems and engaging with healthcare organizations and communities to improve outcomes.
Dr. Chenot earned her EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida and holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Florida Atlantic University. She served on the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Strategic Board for over a decade and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the National Academies of Practice (nursing).
