Instructions - Master of Healthcare Innovation Recorded Online Video Interview

Applicants must complete a recorded, online video interview through HireVue. Although the platform displays The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center branding, the interview is for admission to a degree program in the College of Nursing.

Faculty review recorded interviews to better understand your goals, background, skills and experiences that support your success in the program.

Applications without a completed recorded interview by the deadline are considered incomplete and will not be reviewed. Allow five to seven business days for your interview to be marked complete on your application checklist.

Materials Needed

Treat the recorded interview as you would an in-person interview. Maintain a professional demeanor and prepare the following:

• A computer or device with a camera and microphone (see HireVue for supported devices)
• A quiet, distraction-free location with a clear background

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Submit your application
   Complete your application through Graduate and Professional Admissions before starting the interview.
2. Set up your HireVue account
   1. Click the link for your program to access the recorded interview
   2. Enter your first name, last name, and the email on your application
   3. No additional documents are required
   4. After activation, you’ll receive a confirmation email from HireVue
3. Practice first
   1. Complete the practice questions to ensure your webcam and microphone work correctly
   2. Practice responses are not viewed by faculty
   3. Contact HireVue technical support if you have setup issues
4. Record your interview
   1. You have one attempt to complete the interview
   2. Read each question aloud at the start of your response
   3. A timer will countdown for each answer
   4. Click “Done Answering” if you finish early, then “Next Question” to continue
   5. Relax and be yourself
5. Deadline
   1. The interview is available once the application opens.
   2. You must complete the interview by the program’s published application deadline.
