Community Health Worker talking with community members during Healthy Community Day

Community Outreach and Engagement

Connecting our students, faculty and staff with opportunities to enrich their work and positively impact the health and well-being of our communities, both inside and outside Ohio’s borders.

Economic impact

  • 5,293 hours of service provided
  • $171,599 of volunteer service provided

The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement actively partners with entities including patient groups, healthcare providers, professional organizations, community agencies and schools to enhance access to care and expertise offered by our college. We also provide members of our college with project development skills and tools, financial assistance and support for future and active community-focused projects, and we work with our Office of Academic Affairs to identify student placements in our community. Our efforts deliver on our strategic goal to promote and support community-engaged programs that deepen our commitment to serving our communities’ needs and regularly report our impact on meeting these needs.
