UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Open house for high school students
Geared towards high school students or newly admitted freshmen, this program offers a variety of sessions to increase your knowledge about the nursing profession and the BSN curriculum:
Academic overview: Information about admission requirements to the major, prerequisite courses, freshman year course planning and advisor recommendations for ways to enhance an application to the major.
Faculty presentation: A faculty member will discuss the nursing profession, what faculty look for in a freshman applicant and answer questions about course load and clinical requirements.
Technology Learning Complex (TLC) tour: TLC staff members show participants how they will learn about nursing first-hand from human patient simulators and life-like computerized scenarios.
Nursing skills: An interactive session where participants view a demonstration and then practice nursing skills. A current nursing student is available during this session to answer questions about what it is like to learn at the College of Nursing.
Student life presentation: During this session, students will learn about co-curricular opportunities in the College of Nursing, including student groups, organizations and study abroad opportunities.

BSN: Open house for transfer students

• Prerequisite courses required to apply

Please note, transfer credit will not be evaluated at the time of the open house. We recommend students submit the Prerequisite Course Evaluation form to the Office of Professional Admissions.
