Greetings alumni!

The Ohio State College of Nursing and Nursing Alumni Society are eager for you to return to campus, reminisce on your time here and celebrate your milestone year by joining us for Homecoming 2021! This fun-filled weekend will give you an opportunity to rekindle friendships and reflect on the past and engage in our exciting, transformative future. This year we will be honoring all graduates from years ending in "1" or "6." Not a milestone year? Come anyway—all alumni and guests are welcome!

Registration will open Thursday, July 22, and close Friday, September 17, 2021 at 5 p.m. EDT.

  • Sign up and pay for Homecoming activities

Tour departs from Newton Hall Lobby

Be the first alumni to step foot in the Newton Hall Addition. Our new building addition will further position us as healthcare leaders by supporting critical pillars of our college: academics, research, innovation and evidence-based practice (EBP). Explore the 40,161 gross square space through a guided tour with M+A Architects. Closed toed shoes are required, and we recommend guests be steady on their feet for this tour. 

Technology Learning Complex Tour #1
Tour departs from Newton Hall Lobby

Explore the Technology Learning Complex and learn how our faculty incorporate computer-controlled patient simulators and evidence-based practice into students’ learning experiences. 

Wet Lab Tour #1

Take a look behind the scenes and discover the College’s wet lab, one of only five located in a nursing school nationwide. Get a glimpse of what goes on in the lab and have fun with this interactive experience lead by a faculty member and students who conduct research in the lab.

This activity will award 1.0 contact hour of continuing education. Successful completion requires your attendance for 80% of the session and submission of an evaluation form. The Ohio State University College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

State of the College Live Stream

Can’t attend this year’s Homecoming festivities, but want to learn more about the exciting accomplishments of the college? We will be live streaming Dean Melnyk’s State of the College on Friday, October 8 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. EST.

Shuttle Schedule

A shuttle bus will be available for Class of 1971 alumni and guests to and from Newton Hall to the 50th Class Luncheon on Friday, October 8. On Saturday, October 9, a shuttle will be available to the football game for alumni and guests. There will not be a shuttle to pick up alumni and guests after the game.

Saturday, October 9

There will be a shuttle available for College of Nursing alumni and guests in front of the Ohio Union. The shuttle will have a sign that reads “College of Nursing Alumni.”

Pre-game:  Ohio Union to Neil Avenue Garage Loop*. The shuttle will pick up alumni and guests in front of Ohio Union and run continuous circuits between the Ohio Union and the Neil Avenue Garage Loop for two hours before game time. NOTE: Pre-game will start approximately 30 minutes prior to kick-off.

There will not be a shuttle to pick up guests after the game.

*The stadium drop-off location is the Neil Avenue Garage Loop, which is located south-east of the Student Recreation Center (RPAC), just west of the Psychology Building and Lazenby Hall (approx. 10-15 minute walk to the stadium). This is the closest drop-off location that OSU Traffic and Parking allows. Shuttles cannot drop passengers off directly in front of specific gates.

The Athletics Ticket Office created a specific link with a promo code to be used to purchase your tickets from live inventory via their Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office account. The allocation for your party will be together and alumni will select their own seats within the College of Nursing block of tickets from a live seating chart. Limited mobility and accessible seating will be available to select/purchase during the process. Alumni will have until one month from the date of the game to pay for their tickets.

What is included in the Nursing Alumni Society Tailgate?

Join nursing alumni and friends and enjoy a brunch buffet, cash bar and live music.

Am I eligible to purchase football tickets? 

This page will be updated in mid-August with a purchasing link and promo code.

To be eligible for football tickets, you must be an active member (sustaining or life) of the OSU Alumni Association and a sustaining or life member of the Nursing Alumni Society.

PLEASE NOTE: To become an active member of the Association, alumni can make a minimum gift of $75 to the Ohio State fund of their choice. Visit go.osu.edu/GivetoNursing to make a tax-deductible gift of $75 or more to the Ohio State College of Nursing fund of your choice.

The person purchasing the tickets must be the person who uses the tickets. Anyone caught reselling their tickets may lose future rights to purchase football tickets through the Alumni Association and our Society.

Please be advised that tickets will be located in the C deck, which could require significant stair climbing.

Will there be a shuttle available?

Where are the accessible parking spots on campus?

Shuttles run from the ADA Accessible Lot, located north of St. John Arena, to Gate 22 on the east side of Ohio Stadium. In addition there are various ADA accessible lots located on campus. Please visit the Football Parking Map for more information.

What do I wear?

While there is no dress code, we encourage you to wear scarlet and gray. You can refer to photos from Homecoming Weekend 2019 for ideas. If you will attend the Tailgate, please dress accordingly for the day’s weather as the event is outside.
