What is Design Thinking? Design thinking is a process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative strategies and solutions which might not be apparent with our initial level of understanding.

Design Thinking provides a solution-based approach to solving problems.

Who should apply: Clinicians, patients, designers, students, faculty, staff, anyone who wants an opportunity to ideate on problems and developing solutions.

Why: Design thinking is a process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative strategies and solutions which might not be apparent with our initial level of understanding.

When: This free workshop will be held on April 2 from 12–4 p.m. in the Blackwell Ballroom and will be limited to 50 participants. Our design experts will introduce the concepts of Design Thinking over lunch and then we will apply them to real world problems in a workshop-style setting. Applicants will be notified on March 15 of their acceptance to the workshop.
