In honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the World Health Organization (WHO) has named 2020 the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.

The WHO seeks to bring awareness to the vital role nurses and midwives play in world health coverage and recognize these individuals who devote their lives to caring for those in need. At The Ohio State University College of Nursing, we would like to recognize and celebrate our nurses and midwives as they think and achieve the impossible to transform health and improve lives locally and across the globe.
